8.5.1 being put on the download site, but where is my entitlement?

Permalink 10/12/09 08:28, by Dennis van Remortel, Categories: IBM, Lotus
Guys, I understand you need to put Domino 8.5.1 live, but did you need to remove my entire entitlement for Domino?
What if I really needed to download an older version?
I'm sure it will be back later today, but still, it's a bit weird that I can't download an older version while the new one is being deployed....

Ulrich, that at least gives me some support that it's not just me ;)

Let's hope we'll get it back soon!

My entitlement disappeared and then came back again. The funny thing is that when you click on the plus mark beside the download group for Domino or client it turns into a minus but there's nothing there - no items to download. I'll try later.

Same problem here...

I sure hope the Passport folks are not managing IBM's Cloud Initiative.

Although my entitlements are still not visible, I can find the downloads under the "All Downloads" view.

The items have now appeared in the download groups but guess what? IBM is still using the cryptic executable names and when you try to download you get an error like "Not found on server: CZ5S3EN". I sincerely hope the passport people aren't running the cloud services or anything else important.

@Gary: No, they changed the names to something meaningful. See here

Must be different in Germany, I'm still getting the cryptic file names and that error message.

Lotus knows I'm really pissed off now ;-}

Silly me, I've been trying to download from the Irish IBM site which has the URLs but doesn't have the associated files. I've switched to the US site and am downloading now.

@Ulrich: I see what you mean - meaningful names!

Domino 8.5 features the ID Vault, which stores client ID files on the server, and can pass them back up to the client when passwords are forgotten, or the ID file on the client is missing or damaged. No longer does the master copy of the ID file sit on the users workspace, vulnerable to loss, damage or misuse.
