Snow leopard and 8.5 FP1: some missing icons
Last week, I got an email from Steve, with the following question:
Hi Dennis...long time Mac user here running 10.6 and Lotus Notes 8.5
I've come across a few glitches since going to Snow Leopard...such as missing icons in mail views, etc. Just wondering if you thought 8.5.1 would fix some of that? Do you have any idea how I might obtain 8.5.1 to see if it would help?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Steve
My first reponse was that I hadn't started notes yet on Snow Leopard. But after I did, I found out he was right.

Checkmarks are missing, and the folder expand icons are missing too. (Yes that's a R6 mailfile)
This is the version I'm running.

Any suggestions on the How and Why?

The Design Partner forum includes some postings around Snow Leopard:
"After upgrading to Apple OS X Snow Leopard it appears some visual elements in the client aren't showing up.
1) When I do a File > Open > Lotus Notes Application, none of the database icons show up to the left of the db names.
2) When I open the NAB I don't see any of the icons in the view navigator."
Response from IBM:
"This is a known issue, caused by a bug in 10.6. We are working with Apple to fix this issue, but this will not be resolved in the Gold version of 10.6. " on 29-08-2009.
Not helping you right now, but OK.

Thanks Christian for that response! I'm not a design partner, so I didn't know!

Hi Steve,
I haven't heard about a fix. Let's hope it's fixed in 8.5.1 that'll be released very soon.
