8.5 DAOS results
There's been a lot of write up's on this subject, but I'd like to add my own too
After my previous tests here and here, I've finally taken it to the real environment.
Testserver:
A combined gain of 150,5 Gb *!!
On my first official user server the gains are as follows:
A combined gain of 160 Gb */**!!
Only one word for that: WOW!!!
Notes:
*: I've only DAOS-ed mailfiles, so no teamrooms (yet). There is more to gain as most of tem probably will have the same attachments!
**: There are no duplicate mailfiles on the 2 servers, so the results are very very impressive!

Hi,
Well done.
Edwin Kanis was able to reduce the storage on the archive servers with around 750GB in total, original data of 2 TB.

Can yoy still restore this? And does this take more time? How much time does it take anyway to gain this result.
